I have had no voice for 3 days now, I take medicine, but it doesn’t help. And since I can’t talk, I decided to express my thoughts in a post. Better yet, I’ll share with you one of my latest travels. I have more than 500 photos on my phone from this trip. And this is another quest to choose the best photos. Last week in Korea there was the Baekje Festival, in honour of one of the very first states on the Korean Peninsula. So my friends and I went to the city where this state used to be located. The scale of the festival was terrific. The holiday atmosphere was felt in every corner of the city. And it seemed we were transported several centuries ago to that same state of Baekje. First, let me introduce you to this cute magical beast. In the old days, such an animal stood at the entrance to houses, as well as in the tombs of kings. People believed that it protected against evil spirits. That’s why we met this animal at the festival. He defended the festival. The festival took place in t

Valentine Day is coming...💓

Let me take you on another trip around Seoul that is getting ready for Valentine's Day! I just came back home after a short walk. This year I promised myself to walk more, to add more activity to my life. And, I am trying one p2e app, that motivates me to walk even more. Today's outing into the street was necessary because I needed to go to the grocery store. However, I came back without anything. But, I realized that there is less than a week left till Valentine's Day! And the shopping mall area near my place is decorated with hearts. So, despite it is still cold outside these lovely hearts are warm people. At least, I think  feel so. Also, there are a lot of different chocolates and sale events in the supermarket too. Holidays are a great chance for retailers. Probably, I will go outside again later in the evening. But now, I gonna finish some work tasks. Have a wonderful day!

Wednesday Walk to the Ramyun Cafeteria?

Happy Wednesday! It is time for a Wednesday walk! :) It is the first Wednesday walk this month :) Have you ever heard about Korean instant noodles? One of the most popular brands is called nonshin and they are producing a so-called shinramyun. And they opened a pop-up store in Seoul to celebrate their new type of ramyun and collaboration with zepeto. I am not familiar with zepeto. I don't really know what it is. Nope. I didn't know what it is until I visited the pop-up store. Well, actually they call it a cafeteria, but I think it is a store :) It is located in Seoul, and it takes around 20mins by metro and 1 hour to walk from my place. I decided to walk there, and I started regretting it after 5 mins. Why? Because it was freezing cold outside, and I had to cross the river, and on the riverside it was terrible! But since I already started walking and I was too lazy to search for the nearest bus station or subway station, I kept walking :) Sorry, it was too cold and I didn'

TOPIK? What's this?

In the next section, you can see how points are distributed. You must have heard about the TOPIK exam. TOPIK is short for Test of Proficiency in Korean. And it is the most popular exam to determine the level of knowledge of the Korean language. Let's get to know this exam a little closer. The TOPIK certificate is asked for when entering a university in Korea when applying for a job when applying for a visa. Also, many universities in Korea can give you a grant in the form of a tuition discount depending on your TOPIK level.  History of TOPIK The very first TOPIK exam took place in 1997, and then only 2,274 people took it. And in 2021, a total of 330,016 people registered for the exam! Types of TOPIK Previously, TOPIK was divided into 2 types: B-TOPIK and S-TOPIK . What is the difference? S-TOPIK or Standard TOPIK is a regular TOPIK, i.e. for general purposes. A B-TOPIK or Business TOPIK for employment. S-TOPIK, in turn, was divided into elementary (1-2), intermediate (3-4) and adva

Happy Lunar New Year!🐇

Let me take you to the last Wednesday walk this month! It is freezing cold here. I don't remember such a cold winter here in Korea. And if the forecast says it is above 0C outside, don't trust it. In Korea, it always feels much colder! So, I want to take you to the Lantern festival and New Year market! In many countries, you call it a Christmas market and it goes on in December, but here in Korea we have it at the end of January. Why? Because January 22nd was a Lunar New Year here. And it is more important to Koreans than Christmas. However, it doesn't matter how do you call it. The important thing is the magic that you can feel here! I went there after lunch before the sunset, and it wasn't as marvellous as it was at night. You can see it for yourself. Just compare the next 2 photos! So, I decided to go to the museum which is located on the opposite side of the road and to come to the festival later... You know, when I came here back later at night, I thought I came t

Christmas mood and Christmas market

Today we will go to the Christmas market in my district. It takes around 15 minutes of walking to get here. If be honest, they started installing Christmas decorations here at the end of October. So, we started waiting for Christmas for more than a month. And the interesting thing is that when you are surrounded by all those Christmas signs, you start feeling the Christmas vibes. And yes, I have had a Christmas mood since October. I even took out my Christmas cup (which I broke yesterday, so no photos of it...) Anyways, let's look around. I took lots of photos but can't share them because in most photos I have people's faces. And I can't share their pictures without permission, some law issues here. I think that place reflects the 'Alice in wonderland story, or maybe any other magic story. There is something like a labyrinth decorated with lights.  And in the centre, there is a huge Christmas tree with hundreds of lights and Christmas tree balls. You can go inside
