Let's talk today about admission to a Korean university or university. Many people are afraid of this question. It seems to be very complicated and confusing. But really, nothing is impossible. You just need to figure out what's what. Let's start in order. Admission to a Korean university for international students First of all, I note that Korean students and foreign students enter separately. And the recruitment for local students takes place under completely different conditions and at a different time. I also note that it is much easier for foreign students to enter a university in Korea than for Koreans themselves. I will tell you about how the process of admission of local students to the university goes next time. Today we will focus on international students. To make it clearer, I will make this article in Q&A style. I hope you feel more comfortable this way. Temple of God of mercy or where our desires can be heard

Temple of God of mercy or where our desires can be heard. It is one of the most popular Buddhist Temples in Busan. I send everyone warm spring greetings from South Korea. Now the whole world is in a terrible pandemic of the coronavirus, and many countries are isolated. People are sitting at home and going out is not so easy. In South Korea, despite the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, here is no mandatory home quarantine. More precisely, quarantine was prescribed only for those who had just arrived in the country. But I didn’t want to talk about the virus today. Today I suggest you take a virtual trip to one of the most unusual temples in South Korea, which was built in 1376. “You will receive an answer to at least one of your desires through sincere prayers”  … This is the motto of the Yonggungsa temple . So the choice of our current tourist destination is not accidental. The history of mankind has always been intertwined with the sea. Sometimes the sea is quiet and

Cheong Wa Dae, a residence of the president of South Korea

Have you ever been to the residence of the president of South Korea? It is called Cheong Wa Dae, or Blue House. Why it is Blue House? And what does mean Cheong Wa Dae? All these questions will be answered below.  How to visit Cheong Wa Dae? The reservation is required to go inside the Cheong Wa Dae area. And now it works like a lottery. Even if you make a reservation, it doesn't guarantee that you can visit the Blue House. You make a reservation around 2 weeks before the visit, and a week later they will send you a message if your reservation was approved. But I think they will change that system later, so more people will be able to visit the president's residence. And it is  FREE of charge ! Only online reservation is required. They even prepared free maps! What is Cheong Wa Dae The Blue House (Cheong Wa Dae) is a facility that was used as the office and residence of the President of the Republic of Korea in the past, until May 10th, 2022. Before the Yoon Seok-Yeol (current K

And today I will introduce to you one more beautiful festival that is going on right now! Yes, it is a rose festival. Well, I am sure most of you think that there is nothing special about Roses. And we see roses in the flower stores. That's true. But only from one side. Let me show you another side of the 'roses'. About festival It is called a festival mostly because besides roses you can find snack booths, and other facilities to  spend money  enjoy. And it is not just a garden with roses. There are different crafts and photo zones made of roses. There are special rose garden zones in the parks all around Korea. I didn't have a chance to go to other cities, so I went to the nearest park.  This year rose blossom started a little bit late. Probably, because of the weather. It was like a roller-coaster, one day it is hot like in summer, and

Sulwhasoo Flagship Store. Combination of traditions with modernism

When you hear 'Korea' what comes to your mind first? K-Pop? Kimchi? K-drama? Or maybe cosmetics? Korean cosmetics became worldwide popular during the last 2-5 years. Although many people still think that Korean cosmetics are only for Koreans, much more people despite race and skin colour use Korean cosmetics. There are lots of different Korean brands of cosmetics, and the product price varies as well. Today I want to take you to the Sulwhasoo Flagship store which is located in Seoul, in a very traditional area.  About Sulwhasoo  Sulwhasoo is one of the most popular cosmetics brands in Korea. And it is a luxury brand. Actually, I think the product case, design, and package tell about it. Sulwhasoo was built on a foundation of more than 50 years of enterprising spirit and innovation. Its heritage can be traced back to the 1960s. In 1966, Amorepacific launched the “ABC Ginseng Cream,” the first-ever Ginseng-based cosmetic product, which became a prototype for Sulwhasoo. In 1997, r
